yayoik ("I", "me") handles data as described below, for the website yayoik.jp and for the Chrome extensions I publish. The policy is simple: collect nothing that is not needed.

1. About the extensions and web tools

None of my tools send data to any server of mine. I cannot see any of it. What they hold stays inside your own browser.

Ayafuya Search is the one exception. It runs on an API key that you supply yourself, and talks to an outside AI service directly. See its entry below.

Disc Art Window

• It runs only while the Spotify Web Player (open.spotify.com) is open. It does nothing on any other site.
• It reads the title, artist and album of the playing track, and the album artwork, from that page.
• What it reads is saved in a database inside your browser (IndexedDB). The "shelf" is simply a view of those records.
• Album artwork is loaded from Spotify's own image host (i.scdn.co). It does not pass through me.
• There are no accounts. I never have access to your Spotify credentials or your listening history on Spotify.
• To erase the records, remove the extension or clear your browsing data.

Tsukimado

It calculates and draws the moon's phase entirely on your device. It requests no permissions and makes no network connections. Nothing is collected or stored.

Image Info Mini

It inspects the images on the page you are viewing — alt text, displayed dimensions and file size — and shows the results on screen. To measure file size it re-reads an image the page has already loaded. Nothing is stored or transmitted.

Isshu (Incense Timer)

• What is stored — the scent, holder, time and view you chose are kept in your own browser (localStorage). There is no account.
• Network — none. The incense and the closing bell are bundled inside the tool itself.
• Permissions, Chrome extension — only two: activeTab and scripting. They are used to lay the incense over the tab whose toolbar icon you just pressed, for that moment only. It keeps no record of your browsing and sends nothing anywhere.
• Home-screen version — when added to a home screen, it keeps the tool itself (pictures, sound, program) on the device so it opens without a connection. What is kept is the tool, not any record of your use. “Get the latest version” at the bottom left of the screen discards it at any time.
• How to remove it — clearing your browsing data clears both the settings and what was kept.

Ayafuya Search

This is the only tool that talks to an outside service. It runs on an API key you obtain yourself, and I play no part in the exchange — nothing passes through a server of mine.

• Where your text goes — straight from your browser to Google (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) or Anthropic (api.anthropic.com), depending on which provider you choose. What they do with it is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
• Where the key is kept — in your own browser (localStorage) only. It is never sent to me, and I have no way of knowing it.
• Candidate images — loaded from the Japanese Wikipedia API (ja.wikipedia.org), which means your search term is sent to Wikipedia.
• To erase it — clear the key in the settings panel and save, or clear your browsing data.

Moonwood

• What is saved — how far your care has progressed, and the city you picked, in your own browser (localStorage). There are no accounts.
• Network — none. The sky and the moon are computed on your device from the latitude and longitude of the bundled cities. It never asks for your location.
• To erase it — clearing your browsing data also clears your progress.

Tools with no permissions and no network

Ikka, Miso Soup Shuffle, A Chinchilla Passing Through and the Decans of Thoth work entirely on your device, as Tsukimado does. They request no permissions, make no network connections, and collect or transmit nothing.

Of these, Miso Soup Shuffle alone keeps your list of ingredients in your own browser (localStorage). That too never leaves your device.

Files offered directly from this site

The extension files for A Chinchilla Passing Through, Ikka and Miso Soup Shuffle, and the Windows build of Moonwood, can be downloaded straight from this site. No registration is required, and no personal information is collected in order to download them.

2. About this website

yayoik.jp uses the third-party services below. Each is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

• Analytics — Google Tag Manager (and the analytics it delivers) and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Used only to understand general traffic patterns, never to identify individuals.
• Contact form — Formspree (United States). The name, email address and message you send reach my inbox through Formspree. Nothing is stored on this site's server. What you send is used only to reply to you.
• Fonts and script hosting — Google Fonts and unpkg. Your IP address and similar data are sent to those hosts in order to display the page.
• External links — links to OFUSE, Buy Me a Coffee, the Chrome Web Store and Spotify. What happens there is governed by those companies' own policies.
• Remembering your view — your choice of Japanese or English is kept in your own browser (localStorage). It contains nothing that identifies you.

3. Sharing with third parties

I do not sell or transfer the information I hold. I do not use it to assess creditworthiness or for lending purposes. I will not provide it to third parties except where disclosure is required by law.
